Boulder is built around the great outdoors, and so is the St. Julien. The town's main hike and bike path takes you right from our front step up into beautiful Boulder Canyon. The tilting majesty of the Flatirons is just a short hike or bike away. Trails abound in the foothills for two feet or two wheels, and our concierge would be happy to recommend one that's perfect for you.

In addition, golfing, fly fishing, river rafting, rock climbing, kayaking and Rocky Mountain National Park are less than an hour's drive away. If you do it outside, you can do it in or around Boulder. And the St. Julien makes for quite a nice base camp.

Plus enjoy the numerous activities and fun-filled attractions right outside the hotel:

Pearl Street Mall
www.downtownboulder.com

Stroll along the popular pedestrian mall and enjoy a great selection of restaurants, bookstores, boutiques and sidewalk cafés.  Also popular are the seasonal art shows, craft fairs, musical presentations and street performers who entertain enthusiastic crowds with their antics. Bongo the Balloon Man makes animal creations out of his colorful supply of balloons, while the Zip Code Man guesses a passerby's hometown or just by simply hearing a zip code. Or watch the unnaturally flexible contortionist fold his body into a small box.

Lake Valley Golf Club
www.lakevalley.com

Championship Golf is available at the Lake Valley Golf Club. A private golf club located nearby offers outstanding views and exceptional service for individuals or groups. The course was designed by Press Maxwell and is a 6,855 yard links-style course nestled in the Rocky Mountain foothills. The course is challenging enough to test the most avid golfer and yet, from the regular tees, can be enjoyed by the novice golfer as well. Arrangements may be coordinated through the hotel concierge or your group sales contact.
