Laurent Mechin

Executive Chef

Chef Mechin traces his love for the kitchen back to his early childhood in the vineyards of the French Jura Mountains. As a youngster, his first professional kitchen post was at l’Auberge du Moulin de la Chapelle in Burgundy, where Chef Bernard Champion taught him the fundamentals of taste, and instilled in him a passion for cheese and wine. Over the years he has refined his skills in the kitchens of the some of the most renowned restaurants and hotels in Southern California and such hotels as the Four Seasons in Newport Beach, Papagayo in Costa Rica and Jackson Hole Wyoming, recognized by AAA as the country's top luxury ski destination and a AAA Five -Diamond property. Chef Mechin joined St Julien and Jill's Restaurant in 2009.

Philippe Antoine

Jill's General Manager

Philippe Antoine has a long family lineage in the restaurant business. The Antoines have owned and operated an award winning restaurant in the south of France for over 50 years.  Over the last 40+ years, Philippe has worked in such locations as France, New York City and Southern California.  He was part of the team that revitalized the Ambrosia in Orange County along with famed chef Michael Rossi.  Philippe joined Jill’s Restaurant as the general manager in August 2010, where he oversees the daily operations, special events and spearheads the restaurant’s Tableside Dining Program.
